ClubsNSW is the peak industry association that represents the not-for-profit registered club industry in New South Wales.
There are approximately 1,400 clubs spread across metropolitan and regional areas, registered clubs include Bowling Clubs, RSL and Ex-Services Clubs, Sporting and Recreation Clubs, Golf Clubs, Leagues/Football Clubs, Cultural and Religious Clubs and Community and Workers’ Clubs.
ClubsNSW aims to deliver a range of services and representation to create an environment for long-term sustainability in the industry, as well as to improve conditions for both those working within the club industry and for the local communities they support.
ClubsNSW is the major partner of Surf Life Saving NSW, their involvement includes the naming partner of the NSW Surf Life Saving State Championships, supporting partner of the Stramit Country Surf Life Saving Championships and supporting partner of the innovative educational program Beach to Bush.
ClubsNSW financial support helps SLSNSW meet its target of zero preventable deaths and injuries on NSW beaches.
Stramit Building Products
Stramit Building Products is one of Australia’s leading Australian manufacturers of steel building products. Since 2007 Stramit Building Products has been the naming rights sponsor of the NSW Country Surf Life Saving Championships. The Stramit Country Championships is the fourth largest surf carnival in Australia with the 2012 Championships hosting over 1300 competitors and over 3000 spectators. Stramit has also presented the Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence for a consecutive year. The Awards of Excellence is a night of celebration and acknowledgment for outstanding members for their contribution to the community.
With 20 years of experience and company operated locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, Royal Wolf is proud to be Australasia’s largest container provider. Royal Wolf provides a shipping container to SLSNSW that will be used for the storage and transportation of the gear and equipment required to successfully deliver the broad range of SLSNSW’s major surf sports events held across New South Wales beaches.
Founded in 2004 Engine Swim focuses on developing and producing innovative swimwear to help achieve peak performance. Engine Swim provides a range of products from team gear to goggles to nipper rash vests, swim caps and competition caps. Engine Swim is the preferred Surf Sports team gear supplier and supports the NSW Representative Team and U21 Development Team as well as assisting with gear for other surf sports events and programs such as the NSW Talented Athlete Program and High Performance Squad.
Dolphin Surf Craft
Dolphin Surf Craft was established in 1992 starting off in small factory in Burleigh Heads as a lifestyle business which soon became a successful company exporting products worldwide. Dolphin has since expanded its factory and is one of the largest manufacturers in Australia producing custom handmade craft for elite Surf Life Saving competitors, gaining a well earned reputation in quality and service within the Surf Lifesaving movement. Dolphin Surf Craft are the preferred supplier providing discounted rates on Surf Rescue boards.
DHL is the global leader in express, overland transport and air freight and is the world’s number one in ocean freight and contract logistics. DHL supports Surf Life Saving NSW through the provision of patrol uniforms plus cash support to each of the eleven Branches in the state. DHL also delivers The DHL Grant Program in which equipment packs to the value of $2,500 are distributed to 13 successful club applicants.
Westpac is Australia’s first bank opening its doors in 1817. Today Westpac is one of Australia's largest financial services organisations by market capitalisation. Westpac is involved at all levels of surf lifesaving in Australia and the relationship between Westpac and Surf Life Saving Australia is the most durable in the organisation’s history, dating back to 1973. Westpac provides financial support to Surf Life Saving NSW and its branches towards lifesaving operations.
In 2011 Dulux became a national partner of Surf Life Saving with the aim to help protect and preserve some of Australia’s most important and iconic buildings from some of the world’s harshest weather conditions. Through this partnership Dulux Australia has implemented The Surf Club Project where Dulux will donate 100L of its tough Weathershield exterior paint to every Club throughout Australia each year until 2014 to protect every Club for the next generation of beach goers.
In 2011/2012 Virgin Australia became the official airline of Surf Life Saving Australia to raise awareness of the importance of surf safety for both international and domestic tourists on our beaches. Virgin Australia will promote surf safety to inbound tourists and domestic passengers through their in-flight entertainment system, Voyeur magazine and key advertising spots throughout some airports, educating travellers before they hit the beaches.
