The Coaching the Coast Clinic is the beginning of the SLSNSW Athlete Development and High Performance Pathway and continues to gain momentum with clinics scheduled for Cape Hawke SLSC and Mollymook SLSC.
Coaching the Coast is the base for stimulating grass roots surf sports in regional areas of New South Wales and providing elite coaching to rural athletes.
Athletes of all levels will be provided with an opportunity to improve technique and race skills across all disciplines in both water and beach events.Development coaches are also encouraged to nominate in order to expand their knowledge of coaching by learning from some of the most experienced in the country.
The clinics will feature a range of coaching sessions and will be open to all members between the ages of U/14 to Opens and all coaches with a Level 1 Coaching Accreditation.
The Clinics will be held over one and a half days from 9am to 3pm on the Saturday and 9am to 12 noon on the Sunday.
Clinic 1 - Cape Hawke SLSC 24-25th November 2012
Clinic 2 - Mollymook SLSC 15-16th December 2012
How To Apply
To nominate, athletes and coaches must complete the nomination form to the left and submit to Surf Sports Officer, Kirsten Bird by post (Po Box 307, Belrose, NSW 2085), fax (02 9471 8001) or emailing email@example.com before the closing dates:

There will be a nomination fee of $50 and payment is to be forwarded with the registration form. All attendees will receive a rash vest and hat as well as some meals as part of the program. There is a limit of 60 participants per clinic.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of nominations received by SLSNSW for this weekend’s, Coaching the Coast Program, SLSNSW have to decided to cancel the event. SLSNSW will consider holding the program in February should there be a strong demand from the membership in the South Coast and Far South Branches.
