Have you ever thought about getting involved with your local Surf Life Saving club? The Surf Club Open Day is almost here! On Sunday the 26th August, particular clubs from all across NSW will be opening their doors to the public to promote surf lifesaving within their community.
The Surf Club Open Day is the perfect opportunity for you to visit your local Surf Life Saving club and see how you can give, get involved and be safe with Surf Life Saving.
The Surf Club Open Day will showcase the activities that take place within your local surf life saving club. It will be a great day to experience clubhouse tours, ‘come and try’ activities, mock water rescues, games, BBQ lunch and more! The day will kick off at 10am. Bring along your friends and family – the more the merrier!
The Surf Club Open Day for 2012 will be held in Surf Clubs throughout QLD and NSW. The state wide Surf Club Open Day concept has been carried throughout QLD for several years with great success. In NSW, the state Junior Lifesaver of the Year finalists highlighted this event as a project they think would be beneficial to NSW for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. Consequently, NSW has jumped on board with QLD to share the experience and success!
