Allphones NSW Surf Life Saving Championships

The 2013 Allphones NSW Surf Life Saving State Championships is the premier SLSNSW Event of the Surf Sports calendar.

The Allphones NSW Surf Life Saving State Championships held for the first time at Ocean Beach - Umina on the Central Coast was a huge success. Over 8000 competitors battled it out in the surf and on the sand alongside 700 officials and 15,000 spectators. A huge thank you goes to everybody who made this event possible.

2014 State Championship Dates Announced

The program for next year’s NSW Surf Life Saving Championships were announced at the official ceremony and March Past at Ocean Beach-Umina.

Increasing levels of participation and the sheer size of the event program have put pressure on organisers’ ability to run the event effectively and fairly.

After seeking feedback from both competitors and officials, organisers have decided to split out some events and run the program over several consecutive weekends instead of a 10 day block. This will mean less clashing of events so athletes won’t miss out on the opportunity to participate and will reduce the need for people to take time off work or school to compete.

The 2014 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships at Ocean Beach-Umina will be held from the 28th of February to the 2nd of March for the Age Championships (including Junior R&R and First Aid) and the 7th to the 9th of March for the Open event (including R&R).

The Masters competitors will have their own dedicated event to be held on the 15th and 16th of March. Masters surfboats will be on Friday March 7. Lifesaving events (Champion Lifesaver and Patrol Comp) will be held on 22nd and 23rd of Feb.
