Club CALD Research Survey
Clubs are active in delivering community engagement programs to a variety of target groups including people from diverse backgrounds, Australian Indigenous people, the disabled and the broader community.
Surf Life Saving exists to save lives, create great Australians and build better communities.
We are committed to being an inclusive organisation dedicated to all members of the Australian community and providing a safe environment for all who choose to participate in our activities and who visit the beach.
We are continuing our work with researchers at the University of Technology, Sydney to understand how we contribute to the broader community as we know that our impact goes beyond saving lives.
We have seen many individual examples of the benefits that these socially inclusive programs offer to the community, Surf Life Saving and the individuals who engage in them. As yet, we have been unable to capture these examples of community engagement to provide a complete story. This is why we are asking for your help.
By clicking on the link below you will be prompted to answer a few short questions that will create the stories of our socially inclusive practice.
Completion of the survey will take approximately 10 minutes; it is voluntary, anonymous and confidential. The responses that you provide cannot be used to identify individuals. Please note you must be aged 18 years or above to complete this survey.
By completing this survey you will help us understand how Surf Life Saving Clubs contribute towards fostering inclusive communities and building better communities, in addition to what we can do to better achieve this goal.
We look forward to sharing with you our findings in the near future.
