Club Funding in Community Building Partnership Program

Through the NSW Government’s 2013 Community Building Partnership program, funding has been directed to 24 Surf Life Saving Clubs, Branches and support services in NSW to support their infrastructure projects.

Surf Life Saving NSW would like to thank the Premier and the State Members of Parliament who provided funding to 24 Surf Life Saving clubs, branches and support services worth $514,633 through the 2013 Community Building Partnership (CBP) Program.

This funding has been provided to support infrastructure projects and recognises the important contribution that Surf Life Saving makes to local communities.

Bronte SLSC – Refurbishment to the exterior and interior of the Bronte Beach community kiosk ($13,640)

Wanda SLSC – Extensions ($73,000)
North Cronulla SLSC – Kitchen and hall repairs ($45,000)

Gosford Electorate (Chris Holstein, MP)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of an emergency vehicle for Gosford ($20,000)
Umina SLSC – Refurbishment to the garbage disposal at Umina SLSC – ($7,527)

Keira Electorate (Ryan Park, MP)
Bellambi SLSC – Upgrade to the gym ($12,275)
Woonona SLSC – Refurbishment of Nicholson Park Building ($13,000)

Manly Electorate (Mike Baird, MP)
Queenscliff SLSC – Provision of accessible toilet facilities and club administration office ($20,000)

Maroubra Electorate (Michael Daley, MP)
Southern Helicopter SLSA Helicopter Rescue Service – Installation and repair of fire doors and emergency exists to Westpac Life Saver Headquarters ($13,498)

Myall Lakes Electorate (Stephen Bromhead, MP)
Forster SLSC – Restoration of decking ($16,000)

Newcastle Electorate (Tim Owen, MP)
Hunter SLS – Installation of mezzanine floor over the current storage area ($22,000)

Kempsey Crescent SLSC – Redevelopment ($51,455)

Port Macquarie Electorate (Leslie Williams, MP)
Camden Haven SLSC – Provision of an all-terrain vehicle for SLS in the Camden Haven area ($28,495)

Swansea Electorate (Garry Edwards, MP)
Catherine Hill Bay SLSC – Replacement of a storage container ($3,500)
Caves Beach SLSC – Installation of entrance doors to amenities and training room ($9,000)

Terrigal Electorate (Chris Hartcher, MP)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of an emergency response and coordination vehicle for the Terrigal Electorate ($20,000)
Wamberal SLSC – Maintenance and removal of rust at Wamberal SLSC ($15,000)

The Entrance Electorate (Chris Spence, MP)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of an emergency vehicle at the Entrance ($22,390)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of a rescue water craft for the Entrance ($8,193)

Wakehurst Electorate (Brad Hazzard, MP)
Dee Why SLSC – Gym Refurbishment, provision of amenities and installation of ceiling speakers ($20,000)

Wollongong Electorate (Noreen Hay, MP)
North Wollongong SLSC – Refurbishment of the existing toilets ($25,000)

Wyong Electorate (Darren Webber, MP)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of an emergency vehicle at Wyong ($22,390)
Surf Life Saving Central Coast – Purchase of rescue water craft in Tuggerah ($8,270)

Applications for the next round of funding will be open in the coming months and Surf Life Saving NSW will promote this through Club mail. Public advertisements and State Members of Parliament will also call for applications within their electoral districts.
