Corrimal and Port Kembla Lifesavers Back on the Beach

Corrimal and Port Kembla SLSCs have agreed to last week’s compromise deal from Surf Life Saving, fully restoring their clubs’ affiliation with the State body.

The Agreement – 30 September 2015

Agreed that Corrimal SLSC and Port Kembla SLSC members will undertake the required 2015/16 to 2017/18 Lifesaving Service Agreement (the Agreement) with Surf Life Saving New South Wales (SLSNSW), contingent upon all parties agreeing to the following:

1.The Clubs agree to conduct patrols as specified in Year 1 of the Agreement
2. During year 1 the Agreement 'call-out' concept and process be developed, measured and reviewed.
3. The outcome of the review will be implemented if the outcome is demonstrated to be successful
4. The call-out concept if implemented will be reviewed annually or as major changes occur
5. Clubs will explore how their membership will be developed and increased
6. Review process will include representation from:

  • Corrimal SLSC
  • Port Kembla SLSC
  • Wollongong City Council
  • SLSI
