End of Season Thanks to NSW Surf Lifesavers
At the conclusion of another busy season, we want to thank each and every volunteer and their families for their commitment to keeping people safe on NSW beaches.
No lives were lost between the red and yellow flags - a tremendous achievement, of which we can all be proud. We’re all aware that this does not happen by accident, or without an enormous effort by everyone involved in our great movement.
While surf lifesavers take a well-earned break from actively patrolling our beaches, we know the work doesn’t stop there. Behind the scenes our ever-vigilant 24/7 rescue callout teams, our trainers and assessors and our administrators at club level continue their vital work to ensure Surf Life Saving is rescue ready and prepared for the season ahead.
Many people would not be aware of the enormous scope of activities Surf Life Saving encompasses, beyond patrols on our beaches. It’s a huge undertaking and on behalf of the people of NSW, Surf Life Saving NSW thanks you for your efforts.
I’d also like to thank our state Directors and staff of SLSNSW, along with the Branches, in supporting clubs to keep our beaches safe. To find out just some of what it takes to support the continued operation of surf clubs in NSW, click here.
