Patrol Operations Manual Review 2014 - Member Survey
Surf Life Saving New South Wales is conducting a review of the Patrol Operations Manuals (POM).
POMs are designed to provide a localised operational plan, detailing local names, procedures and specific patrolling methods. POMs were introduced state-wide in 2009 with Surf Life Saving New South Wales producing a generic template for Clubs to base their POM from, however not all Clubs have submitted a completed POM. The most common feedback is that the POM is not practical and is too large, with many members not reading their Clubs POM.
As part of the review of the POM, Surf Life Saving New South Wales is conducting a member survey to collect feedback on what member’s believe should be included in their POM. The feedback will be collated and considered by the Patrol Operations Manual Review Panel, where a revised template will be drafted.
It is encouraged that the survey is distributed throughout your Club’s membership.
The POM member survey will close on Monday 17 March 2014.
