Sun Sound Provides Free Wi-Fi to NSW Beaches

Cancer Council NSW is launching its Sun Sound Hot Spot campaign – a travelling van that will provide free Wi-Fi to visitors of popular beaches across NSW from 11am-3pm.

Visit the Sun Sound Van at the following locations:

16 Jan – North Wollongong Beach
17 Jan – Manly Beach
18 Jan – Coogee Beach
19 Jan – Cronulla Beach
21 Jan – Park Beach, Coffs Harbour
22 Jan – Main Beach, Byron Bay
26 Jan – Nobbys Beach, Newcastle

Beachgoers will be able to connect to the free Wi-Fi via a Sun Sound smartphone app, which is also used as a medium to communicate sun protection messages and the Sun Sound jingle. There will be give away free prizes and sunscreen, as well as conversations with young people directly about the Sun Sound throughout the events.

How to get involved?

  • Tell your friends about the Sun Sound Hot Spot campaign and ask them to visit the van to check it out.
  • Share the Cancer Council NSW Facebook and Instagram posts with your social networks.
  • Share photos of you and your friends being sun smart at the events to enter the Slip, Slop, Snap photo sharing competitions.
