Terrigal SLSC Wins Gold At National Pool Rescue Championships
Terrigal SLSC has been crowned the 2013 Australian Pool Rescue Club Champions at the national titles in Queensland.
This is the first time since 2008 that a NSW team has won the Championships ahead of Queensland.
Terrigal SLSC finished on 321 points, seven points in front of QLD’s Maroochydore SLSC in second (314) and BMD Northcliffe SLSC in third on 268 points.
Elouera SLSC was the only other NSW club to finish in the top 10, finishing sixth.
A number of world and Australian records were broken over the weekend at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane, testament to the high calibre racing on show by some 430 surf lifesavers from 47 Australian and New Zealand clubs.
Congratulations to everyone involved!
