Vale: Peter Daley
Surf Life Saving NSW Life Member Peter Daley of Queenscliff SLSC on Sydney’s Northern Beaches has sadly passed away.
Peter obtained his Bronze Medallion in 1970 and served as Queenscliff Club President from 1991 until 2008.
Peter was a much respected surf boat official at both the NSW and Australian Surf Life Saving Championships and a past boat rower and sweep for Queenscliff SLSC.
Peter's fellow clubbies praised how generous he always was and how he used his personal skills to encourage, motivate, mentor and counsel wherever and whenever appropriate.
To wife Cherie, daughter Kellie and son Damien, we send our deepest sympathy. In the words of his son DD, “Big Pete (Daley) caught his last wave a couple of minutes ago. He loved you all”.
Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club will inform SLSNSW of funeral arrangements on Monday.
