We Need You - Member Stories Wanted
We are developing a Surf Life Saving NSW Online Induction and need stories from members around the State.
These stories will bring our interactive program alive, outlining the experiences and pathways that exist within Surf Life Saving.
The Online Induction will be a ‘one stop shop’, providing the user with an interactive experience exploring the culture, resources, information and opportunities within the Surf Life Saving movement.
We want to recognise the huge diversity that is Surf Life Saving by providing new members with the opportunity to hear from our members directly.
If you or someone you know has taken part in a development program, award course, surf sports event or held a position within Surf Life Saving we would love to hear from you.
You can see all the pathway points we want to showcase in the Pathways Booklet.
To be involved in this opportunity, send your photo and answers to the following questions to our Media and Communications Officer.
- Your Name and Club
- Name of Experience (eg Junior Lifesaver of the Year, Facilitator, ARTC Award, Surf Com operator, Surf Sports Official etc)
- When did you gain the experience?
- What was/is the best part of this experience?
- What are your goals following this experience?
Hi, I am John Smith and I did my Bronze Medallion at Surf Beach SLSC in 2012. The best part of being a Bronze Medallion holder is the skills you carry with you on and off the beach. Next season I am hoping to become even more involved and obtain my IRB Crew qualification.
