Description Birubi Point SLSC Established 1998
The beach at Birubi Point is a 400m long and faces south west. It is backed by the Birubi Point residential area and more immediately by a car park, park and picnic area. The orientation of the beach exposes it to any waves out of the south, while giving it protection from north-east and eastern swell. However as south-east waves dominate the coast, waves average over 1m, and this combined with the headlands and rocks in the surf produce three permanent rips, all against rocks.
