MONEY WELL SPENT Every year the Guardians of the Surf and raffle programs help us to provide financial support to our Clubs. The continuing success of the program has meant that last December, each Club received over $3,000. A few Clubs sent in a note of appreciation and it was great to see how the money was able to assist. We thought it would be worthwhile sharing some of these with the membership.
“I would like to thank you for your recent donation. Support of this nature is very much appreciated by our members; it makes them feel that their voluntary hours of looking after the surfing public are being appreciated. Our Club has a great group of very keen youth members at the moment, so the funds will help us educate, train and retain these members.”
“This contribution is most welcome as it comes as we near the end of our rebuild stage. Updating our equipment to the best we can provide is of high importance as we continue to give the best service to our beach as possible.”
“Thank you for the generous proceeds from the Guardians of the Surf fundraising programs. As you are aware surf lifesaving clubs are always renewing their equipment and these funds will be used towards our continuous upgrades in lifesaving equipment.”
“We thank you for coordinating the donation and please relay to your executive that the funds are much appreciated and will be used wisely in the purchase of lifesaving equipment.”
