2009 JUNIOR LIFESAVER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Surf Life Saving NSW invites nominations for the Junior Lifesaver of the Year Award. The Award is a great way for clubs and branches to recognise their outstanding Under 14s and the contributions they have made to surf lifesaving and the community. 2008/09 CAPITAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The NSW Department of Sport and Recreation Capital Assistance Program is now open. Applications close November 14, 2008. For more information go to www.dsr.nsw.gov.au

ElementX SURF CAMPS
The inspirational team of Trevor Hendy, Karla Gilbert, Phil Clayton and David Simons have come together to deliver a junior surf sports program, based on their training and experience which led to 8 world championships, more than 50 Australian surf titles and years at the top of competitive surf life saving. WATER SAFETY EDUCATORS WANTED
We are looking for volunteers from all areas of the state who would be prepared to give a talk about water safety and lifesaving at schools or community centres. We'll provide you with all the props you need! Email our Education Manager if you can help.

NOTE: SURFGUARD UPGRADE THIS WEEKEND
SurfGuard will be offline for approximately two hours on Saturday 25 October at 2pm EST for an upgrade. A second server will be added to the system which will increase access speed and response times.

LIFEGUARDS - ALL AREAS
The Australian Lifeguard Service is a division of Surf Life Saving, designed to provide Lifesaving Services to local government, private corporations and the community. The Australian Lifeguard Service is the largest provider of professional lifeguards in Australia.
We are currently seeking the services of duly qualified people to perform Lifeguard duties in various areas from 29th September, 2008 to 24th April, 2009, during the Summer months and Christmas School Holidays. The Australian Lifeguard Service is seeking motivated Lifeguard Supervisors with strong technical and management skills to join the team. FRESHWATER MASTERS CARNIVAL AND BENNETT CLASSIC
Freshwater SLSC is staging a Masters carnival on Saturday 22 November with team and individual events. The Bennett Classic on Sunday 23 November will feature juniors in U9s to U14s in Board and Ironman events.
