2009 JUNIOR LIFESAVER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Surf Life Saving NSW invites nominations for the Junior Lifesaver of the Year Award. The Award is a great way for clubs and branches to recognise their outstanding Under 14s and the contributions they have made to surf lifesaving and the community. 2008/09 CAPITAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The NSW Department of Sport and Recreation Capital Assistance Program is now open. Applications close November 14, 2008. For more information go to www.dsr.nsw.gov.au

BEACH TO BUSH HEADS WEST
The Telstra Beach to Bush program will be held next week throughout regional NSW. Our team of 18 highly qualified lifesavers will deliver the surf safety message at 94 primary schools in areas such as Mittagong, Wellington, Young and Moree.

SPECIAL NEEDS INSTRUCTORS WANTED
Sydney Northern Beaches Surf Life Saving School is looking for lifesavers to be paid to conduct some special needs nippers groups in the Northern Sydney area. If you've got your Bronze and basic first aid, are available during school hours and have a sense of humour, contact Sandy at the branch office on 9913 8066.

As part of our drive to ensure all our volunteers carry out their lifesaving duties with pride, we'll be highlighting different aspects of the role each month. November's focus is on interaction with the public and we're encouraging clubs and patrol captains to engage in some positive PR activities in their communities. Stay tuned for more information.

LIFEGUARDS - ALL AREAS
The Australian Lifeguard Service is a division of Surf Life Saving, designed to provide Lifesaving Services to local government, private corporations and the community. The Australian Lifeguard Service is the largest provider of professional lifeguards in Australia.
We are currently seeking the services of duly qualified people to perform Lifeguard duties in various areas from 29th September, 2008 to 24th April, 2009, during the Summer months and Christmas School Holidays.
