RAISING THE FLAGS OPENS NSW SEASON The surf lifesaving season is off to a great start with the official Raising the Flags ceremony at North Steyne SLSC this morning. The new Minister launched the patrol season before a large media contingent, with the assistance of the North Steyne nippers and Ironwoman Naomi Flood. VOLUNTEER GRANTS PROGRAM 2008 The Australian Government is inviting applications for funding under the Volunteer Grants Program 2008. The program provides funds to eligible organisations with volunteers actively working in the community. Organisations can apply for up to $5000 to support the work of volunteers, including purchasing small equipment and sporting items, or contributing to fuel costs. YAMAHA CLUB RESCUE PROGRAM KICKS OFF - FIND OUT ABOUT SUBSIDISED EQUIPMENT The Yamaha Club Rescue Program is a national initiative developed by Yamaha Motor Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia to enable clubs and branches across Australia to purchase heavily subsidised Yamaha surf rescue equipment.
