WHAT IS THE ACADEMY?

A submission to the Federal Government resulted in funding of $10 million being given to SLSA over three years. The concept was to provide a National approach to training, and centralise the development of resources.

The Academy is everyone involved in training and education – in each state and territory of Australia. Its not a place or location – its everywhere – on the beach, in the surf club, at the Branch, at headquarters.

The Academy funding helps us to support what we have already been doing as an organisation, and will assist us in providing a legacy of professional education and training to members and the public into the future.
