SUMMARY:Club 2 Club Ocean Swim - Cape Hawke to Foster
DESCRIPTION:This Sundays Club 2 Club Ocean Swim has been cancelled. \nRepresentatives of Forster and Cape Hawke SLSC met in relation to our swims to be conducted on Sunday. \nDue to prevailing conditions with rain (WATER QUALITY) and waves forecast that operating a swim at Main Beach was not considered safe. We looked  at having swims at Cape Hawke SLSC -one mile beach however easterly swell and waves forecast was a high risk with a falling tide \nAll entries will roll over till next years event which is to be conducted 2 April 2023. \nWe understand the disappointment in the Ocean Swim fraternity that the swims have been cancelled – a decision that was not made lightly. \n

SUMMARY:Coogee Island Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Coogee Island Challenge hosted by Coogee Surf Life Saving Club\, is an ocean swim event at Coogee Beach held every April & November that circumnavigates Wedding Cake Island. \nWe have 3 swims available starting with the 800m Junior Dash (10-12yrs)\, the 1km or the 2.4km Island Challenge Big Swim that circumnavigates Wedding Cake Island. If you can’t choose\, why not sign up for the 1 and 2.4km swims. \nOr what about entering as a team with a few friends? Enter a team of 4 or more\, male or female and in any of the 3 events on offer. \nWe have a HUGE number of prizes up for grabs – this includes CASH\, wet bags\, towels\, caps\, umbrella’s and prints. Prizes are for the 800m\, 1km & 2.4km events for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd placed elite category\, individuals (all 12 age groups) and teams!
