SLSNSW’s Community Education Team operates across New South Wales, facilitating the delivery of beach and water safety education to schools, community groups and other organisations. We have three great opportunities, and we are seeking bright, enthusiastic individuals to join us as paid casual presenters.

About the roles

SURF LIFESAVING Beach Safety Presenter

  • Deliver beach safety talks & sessions to primary & secondary school students
  • Support the delivery of on beach sessions
  • A keen interest in beach safety education

The Surf Life Saving Beach Safety Presenter is responsible for assisting Surf Life Saving NSW with the delivery of beach and water safety education programs to a variety of groups with a key focus on primary and high schools. Key responsibilities include the delivery of water safety presentations both face to face and virtual, assisting with on-beach programs and representing the organisation at public/community events.

MULTICULTURAL Beach Safety Presenter

  • Deliver beach safety & rock fishing safety talks to community groups & diverse audiences
  • Deliver sessions in English & your own language both virtually & face to face
  • We urge anyone interested to apply but those with a strong knowledge & interest in their own culture will be highly regarded

The Multicultural Beach Safety Presenter is responsible for assisting Surf Life Saving NSW with the delivery of beach and water safety education programs, both face to face and virtual, to a variety of groups with a key focus on multicultural community groups and those whose first language is not English. A key feature of this role will be to utilise CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) language and cultural awareness to connect with and teach our diverse communities.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Beach Safety Presenter

  • Deliver a brand new beach safety show to young children between the ages of 3 and 6
  • Be ready to dance, sing, read and play
  • We urge anyone interested to apply but early childhood education experience and knowledge will be highly regarded

The Early Childhood Beach Safety Presenter is responsible for assisting Surf Life Saving NSW with the delivery of beach and water safety education programs to a variety of early childhood groups and facilities. Key responsibilities include the delivery of water safety presentations and shows both face to face and virtual and assisting the organisation at public/community events.

What you’ll need 

  • SLSA Surf Rescue Certificate or SLSA Bronze Medallion (Surf Lifesaving Beach Safety Presenter role only)
  • Current working with Children’s Check clearance (employment, not volunteer)
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Own Vehicle

Training will be provided for all Presenter roles
