Are you a high-performing sales professional who thrives on winning new business and building long-term partnerships?

SLSS is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across our expanding commercial services, including first aid training, uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (drone) technology and public event safety services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies
  • Identify and convert new opportunities across government, major events and commercial sectors
  • Position integrated service offerings as bundled solutions
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of long-term contracts and new business opportunities
  • Lead or contribute to tenders, RFQs and commercial proposals
  • Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships across industry
  • Monitor emerging regulatory, technological and funding developments
  • Achieve revenue growth, margin and utilisation targets
  • Ensure all commercial activity aligns with regulatory and organisational requirements

What you’ll need

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a business development role
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed revenue and profit targets
  • Strong track record in sales, negotiation and deal closure
  • Established commercial network and ability to leverage existing relationships
  • Experience managing client relationships and key accounts
  • Advanced CRM capability and data-driven sales approach
  • Experience in tender writing and complex proposals
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting and margin management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Current driver’s licence and flexibility to work outside standard hours is required.

Position: Full-time role with a predominantly remote work setup, requiring at least one anchor day per week at Belrose headquarters.
