NSW Narrowly Misses Out at IRB Interstate
NSW was trumped for the second this week by Queenslanders at the Interstate Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Championships held at Mindil Beach, Darwin.
The team from NSW finished up on 49 points behind Queensland on 59.
Friday 19 July will see the start of the national teams event in which 50 teams from 29 clubs around Australia will compete for the Australian IRB Club Champions title for 2013.
“We’ll start the competition again on a clean slate,” said a spokesperson from SLSA.
“There are over 500 competitors here in Darwin and amongst them, some very impressive teams on show, we’ll have high calibre racing and great sportsmanship over the next three days,” she continued.
