RIPS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED
Surf Life Saving has begun a national education campaign to alert the public to the dangers of rip currents, a major cause of drowning in Australia each year. Go to http://www.ripcurrents.com.au/

Our mission is to provide a safe beach and aquatic environment throughout NSW. As the state's major water safety and rescue organisation, our 67,000 members also makes us one of the largest volunteer movements in Australia. Our primary role is to save lives on the beach and our 129 Surf Life Saving clubs protected more than 7 million beachgoers last season.
