#communityeducation // Over the weekend, SLSNSW attended the Annual Islamic Eid Al-Fitr Show in Bankstown, a celebration that brought together families, culture and community.
A big thank you to the volunteer lifesavers from Dee Why SLSC who gave their time to be part of the event. It was great to see such genuine engagement and connection throughout the day. Building relationships with communities across South West Sydney helps support ongoing water safety awareness and education. These moments all play a part in creating safer beaches, waterways and communities.

#interstate // NSW continues to shine on the Gold Coast, this time in the Interstate Pathways competition - winners again thanks to a fantastic crop of U14 and U15 talent!
The competition came hot off the back of the Australian Youth Championships at North Kirra, with some of our shining stars putting on more brilliant results to carry NSW to the title once more ahead of Queensland in second and Victoria in third.
Well done to the athletes, coaches and team management - a fantastic result.

The Australian Youth Championships has wrapped for another year with a huge day of teams events, and NSW was right amongst all the big results across the day!
Some of the best included Yamba Surf Lifesaving Club and Cudgen Nippers winning the U13 Male Swim Team and U15 Female Cameron, respectively, while Mostyn Brown of Yamba won gold in the U14 Male Flags.
Samuel Wetti and Billy McCarthy from Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club were too strong in the U15 Male Board Rescue, before teaming with Ashton Bone and Levi Sinclaire to take out the U15 Male Cameron at the close of the day.
Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club and Wanda Surf Life Saving Club both had winners in the Flags, through Taylor Cameron and Archer Wilson in the U14 Females and U13 Males, while Manly LSCs Summer Easton, Millie Gaudry, Nevaeh Cleary and Flori Pennie won the U13 Female Cameron.

#AUSSIES26 // Day One of the Youth Championships done and dusted, with some HUGE results for our NSW athletes.
Highlights included Swansea-Belmont SLSC's Liam Blair jagging an impressive U13 Male Swim and Iron double - with two great claims to boot - while Cudgen Nippers' Ivy Mison backed up her state championships gold medal with the same colour in the Australian U15 Female Swim.
Mia Hoo from North Bondi SLSC beat out four competitors from Maroochydore surf club to win the U14 Female Iron, while Redhead SLSC and Wanda Surf Life Saving Club won big after two dramatic sprints up the beach ended positively for the clubs - first Tex Ayre in the U13 Male Board, then Dashiell Lonergan in the U14 Male Iron.
Athletes from Coogee SLSC, Manly LSC and Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club were everywhere throughout the day, picking up a few medals along the way - including an incredible first and second for Billy McCarthy and Ashton Bone of Avoca in the final race of the day, the U15 Male Iron.
Day Two and the team events in the water to come tomorrow - let's go NSW!!
