#STATECHAMPS26 // Day 1 of Age at the 2026 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships, proudly presented by Your Local Club, is wrapped and what a day it was!!
The sun was shining, the conditions were favourable, and our youngest competitors delivered outstanding performances.
U11 to U14 Board Rescue, U10 Surf Races, and U9 Beach Relays, sprints and flags brought plenty of action to the sand and surf.
Off the beach, the vendor village was buzzing with ABE`s Bagels on the loose and prizes up for grabs with Ingenia Holidays Parks.
And the best part is, it all continues tomorrow✨✨

#RAINBOWBEACHES // Why were our beaches beaming with colour this weekend? This weekend has been HUGE across all areas of our organisation and what a perfect weekend to see clubs and patrols light up with the national initiative led by @lifesaverswithpride - Rainbow Beaches 🏳️🌈. More than 130 clubs participated helping to communicate to their communities that they support and welcome all. Clubs showcased the colours of the 🏳️🌈Progress Flag, they dressed up, used rainbow zinc, held colour runs, patrol parties, pride paddle outs and had the best time - as you can see - to visibly demonstrate their inclusion and support of the LGBTQIA+ community.

#OLYMPICGOLD // It’s official. A public holiday has been declared today in Pambula on the Far South Coast after Cooper Woods, ex Pambula SLSC nipper, became our newest Olympic Gold Medallist last night! Club Captain Andrew Holt said the small town was stoked.
“Coop was always very talented and full of cheek. Everything was a race. There was only one speed for him and that was flat out.”
With both parents having been surfboat rowers, this skiing superstar was bound to be a serious competitor.
“The determination of that kid,” recalls Andrew, “if anyone was gonna win a gold medal at the Olympics, it was gonna be Cooper.
“We’re just so proud of him, it’s an inspiration for all the other young kids around here. Kid from a country club, comes home with a gold medal, that doesn’t happen very often.”
