This role will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the SLSNSW Chief Remote Pilot to achieve the goals and objectives of the organisation, with a significant emphasis on training coordination and delivery, including weekend commitments as required.

What you’ll need
A background within Surf Life Saving and / or thorough understanding of UAV surf lifesaving operations.
Hold either the SLS UAV Operator award, SLS UAV Pilot award, or a RePL.
Well-developed oral and written communications skills (including presentation and report writing)
Excellent computer skills in a number of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Excellent organisational skills.
Unrestricted Motor Vehicle Licence required.
Proven ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and Public Holidays.
Ability and willingness to travel when required.
Some of the key duties will include:
Coordinate and deliver UAV training courses and assessment activities to the membership, across clubs, branches and state programs.
Coordinate and manage the UAV instructor endorsement pathways to build sustainable training capacity across the state.
Monitor training completion, endorsements, and currency requirements through approved training and record-keeping systems.
Providing input as required into the ongoing development and delivery of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for UAV operations.
Carry out the role and responsibilities of the Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC) Maintenance Controller.
Assisting with state-wide equipment purchases, maintenance, storage and allocation.
Monitoring UAV maintenance standards, including the investigation of defects
Regularly liaising with clubs, branches and other portfolios to ensure the effective delivery of UAV operations.
Supporting the coordination and recording of statistical information, compiled by the UAV Pilots/Operators.
An understanding of Surf Life Saving and Not for Profit organisations would be an advantage.
Experience working with volunteers would be advantageous
