Whale Beach Patrol Honoured For Top Rescue

A team of surf lifesavers from Whale Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches who prevented a double drowning just days before Christmas last year have been honoured with the prestigious NSW Rescue of the Month Award for December.


Lucky Coincidence for Early Morning Swimmers

A male and female were rescued from the Hastings River entrance on Wednesday morning after being caught in a rip at Port Macquarie’s Town Beach. The tourists took to the beach just before 8am for an early morning swim beside the notorious southern rock wall.

Despite the best efforts of multiple rescue agencies a man has been unable to be revived after getting into difficulty while swimming at a remote beach on the State’s Far South Coast.
