2022 Lifesaving Development Camp

Overview
Surf Life Saving NSW will again be running its Lifesaving Development Camp for surf lifesavers aged 16-21 years. This is a live-in program, focusing on developing and enhancing the knowledge and skills of young people, while at the same time preparing them to take on more responsibility in their patrol teams, their own clubs, and the wider community. Members will gain additional awards including First Aid, ARTC, IRB Crew/Drivers, and expand their current knowledge of awards already held.

Cost
The program cost is $250 for participants, $100 for leaders, and clubs will be invoiced for this amount prior to the start of the program. SLSNSW will be coordinating and covering the cost of travel (including flights), accommodation, meals and program collateral.
Who can apply?
Active surf lifesavers who are aged between 16-21 years and who hold their Bronze Medallion should consider applying. We are looking for members who are proactive, keen to get stuck into award training, education and frontline lifesaving roles.
For the Leadership Team we are looking for activesurf lifesavers who are ideally aged between 18 and 30 years. This team will be skilled communicators, keen educators and looking to support other young members enjoy their surf lifesaving journey.

Members can apply as both a candidate and as part of the leadership team.
When and where?
The Candidates will come together on Saturday 15 January 2022 – Friday 21 January 2022.
The Leadership Team will come together on Friday 14 January 2022 – Friday 21 January 2022.
Accommodation will be at the Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park, Narrabeen, and the program run out of Warriewood SLSC.
