2024 SLSNSW Surf Boat Metro & Country Championships

April 6

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Regrettably, severe weather and hazardous conditions on the roads has forced the cancellation of this weekend’s Metro/Country and Interseries Surfboat Championships at Ocean Beach.

Advice from the BOM and SES is that localised flooding may occur in some areas. The Competition Safety Committee has made the decision to cancel the weekend’s events in the interests of member safety due to the risk to crews and officials travelling to the event on Friday. As the extreme weather is likely to linger into Saturday, the completion of a full program of racing is unrealistic.

While disappointing, we hope that all members stay safe over the coming days and we wish all those crews going to the Aussies the very best of luck.
