SLSNSW State Conference

The doors are open, and we are ready to welcome clubs to the 2022 SLSNSW State Conference which is being held face to face on 23-24 July! It’s a great opportunity for clubs and branches across the state to connect, collaborate, and create a movement which leads the way.
The conference theme is Lifesaving Reimagined, and we have an amazing program on offer aligned to our 2021-24 strategic plan. Not only do we have experts joining us to deliver all-in sessions, but this year we are offering you the opportunity to build your own program by voting on the sessions of most interest to you during registration
Each club is allocated (and guaranteed) two spaces, one of whom must be an emerging leader. The first 100 clubs to respond will also be able to send a third representative. We recommend clubs select members who will actively participate in the program and bring back ideas and actions – and help put them into practice at your club!
Branch Presidents and members from the SLSNSW Standing Committees (Lifesaving, Education, Membership and Surf Sports) are also invited to join this event.
Clubs/branches are able to endorse additional members to be added to a waitlist. These members will be invited should other clubs/branches not utilise their allocated spaces.
- All registrations must have club support and approval prior to submission.
- Registrations are to be completed by midnight on Sunday 29 May.
Accommodation for in-person attendees
Accommodation on Saturday night will be provided to attendees who live outside of the Sydney/Sydney Northern Beaches area. Attendees from these branches can however choose to join the rest of the participants for breakfast on the Sunday morning from 7:00am.
Accommodation is twin-share and if you would like to share a room with someone specific, please request this at the time of registration (note that they must also request to share with you on their registration form). Special requests for accommodation (e.g. single rooms) can be made via the registration form, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Travel subsidies for in-person attendees
Attendees are responsible for organising and booking their own travel arrangements. Travel subsidies will be provided for club endorsed attendees from the following branches up to the value of the amount shown below. Subsidies will be provided per attendee (or per car where fuel is being claimed).
- FNC: $200 (flights)
- NC: $300 (flights)
- MNC: $330 (fuel) or $400 (flights)
- LNC: $255 (fuel)
- HUN: $150 (fuel)
- CC: $85 (fuel)
- SNB: $50 (fuel)
- SYD: $50 (fuel)
- ILL: $85 (fuel)
- SC: $170 (fuel) or $260 (flights)
- FSC: $450 (fuel) or $480 (flights)
Expense claim forms can be submitted prior to the conference along with any flight receipts or km readings (one submission for those that are carpooling)! More information on claiming your travel subsidy can be found in the frequently asked questions document.
