With the mercury making its presence felt across NSW last weekend, it’s important to note that Lifeguards from the Australian Lifeguard Service are back on duty just in time for the School Holiday Period.

From Monday beaches across the state will be patrolled by the highly trained and professional Lifeguards from the ALS.

Over 300 employees will be on hand this season, with all having recently been put through their paces at their annual proficiency days.

“It’s an exciting time of year,” said ALS NSW Lifeguard Operations Manager Oliver Munson. “All of the hard work has been done with the pre-season testing having been completed, uniforms have been checked and cleaned, and everyone in good shape and ready to do what they do best which is keep a watchful eye on the beach.”

“The warm spring weather we’ve been experiencing recently means that the ocean is a very tempting place to be, and we strongly encourage your guests to swim at a patrolled location, particularly if they’re not familiar with the unique challenges of your area,” Mr Munson concluded.

The following beaches will be patrolled throughout the School Holidays with the exception of The Pass, Wategos, Tallows, which will be patrolled from 30 September – 2 October. Additionally volunteer surf lifesavers will also be out on force during the weekends with the 2017/18 patrol season commencing last weekend.
