Surf Life Saving NSW is getting behind struggling NSW farmers and is calling on everyone to get on board.
While many of us are blessed to be able to live near the coast, the drought still affects and touches us all.
So many surf lifesavers come from regional areas, or have family or friends struggling on the land.
We’d like to offer people the opportunity to lend a hand by donating to the Buy A Bale fundraising campaign.
We are aiming to raise enough money to buy a whole truck load of feed to be delivered to farmers in need.
Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club has thrown down the gauntlet and is challenging every club in the state to donate. Club President Les Pepper says if their small club can get behind this unfolding emergency, everyone can.
“We are donating $120 for a bale of hay and would like to see every club in the state do the same,”
said Les Pepper.
