Team NSW has been able to retain the Interstate Cup for the eighth straight year.
The challenge was on from the start and it all came down to the wire, with the win by NSW in the final relay event on the last wave of the last leg, bringing them home to finish just two points ahead of arch rivals Queensland.
“Queensland had their best team for many years and fought very hard, running neck and neck with NSW throughout the entire event,” said NSW Team Manager Greg Heard.
“Once again though, the NSW crews never gave in and every crew fought in every race to ensure NSW retained the SLSA Interstate Championship.
“An amazing team effort from what was effectively a team of crews competing for NSW for the first time,” he added.
