Four volunteer surf lifesavers were among the 28 emergency service personnel announced as finalists in the Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards 2020 by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott this week.

The BLACKROLL and Surf Life Saving NSW Activation and Recovery Series is here to teach surf lifesavers the benefits of rolling and trigger work using rollers, balls and bands. This seven-part series will provide exercises for each of our Surf Life Saving areas including; IRBs, Surf Boats, Pool Rescue, Beachies, Rescue Ready Lifesavers, Nippers and Water Athletes.
Surfer Drowns in Hazardous Conditions at Sydney’s Collaroy Beach
At approximately 12:40pm today, a 44-year-old male surfer was pulled from the water and given CPR by off-duty surf lifesavers after getting into trouble in large swell at Collaroy Beach, Sydney.
