Congratulations to members of Surf Life Saving in NSW, recognised in this year’s Queens Birthday honours list.
Among them, the unstoppable Col Laing OAM (pictured) from North Entrance SLSC, a Life Member of Surf Life Saving NSW.
Avoca Beach SLSC’s Con Ryan is also a newly minted OAM and joins Neville Warwick OAM, a founding member and Life Member of Bellinger Valley North Beach SLSC and the North Coast Branch.
Tathra SLSC’s Margaret Taylor has been awarded an OAM for her services to the Sapphire Coast community.
Other former members or supporters receiving awards are: Alan Rydge AM, an Honorary Member of Coogee SLSC, the late Betty Hobbs OAM, former president of Sawtell SLSC and Jennifer Jones OAM from Manly SLSC.
