Ingenia Holiday Parks is going the extra mile these school holidays to ensure their park guests have a memorable holiday for all the right reasons.
Coinciding with the official start of the patrol season, Ingenia Holiday Parks has kicked off the Surf Safety Sessions Roadshow at Byron Bay over the weekend.
Surf Life Saving NSW CEO, Steve Pearce said the launch of the program was timely given the beginning of the school holidays.
“Last year 55 people in NSW lost their lives on the NSW coast, equaling the previous highest recorded figure in 2015/16, despite higher than usual rainfall from La Niña and reduced beach attendance,” he said.
“The team is travelling in a branded Apollo Motorhome which will also be a reminder to holiday makers to swim between the red and yellow flags.
“The Surf Safety sessions that will be delivered to holiday park guests are interactive and fun – they’re a great activity for the kids as they learn these important messages to keep them safe.
“We commend Ingenia Holiday Parks for taking the care of their guests to the next level and providing this information to them. It is a great initiative.”
The roadshow will be stopping at various Ingenia Holiday Parks down the coast of NSW, finishing at Eden on 9 October.
