Three beaches, four areas and hundreds of competitors made day three of the 2025 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships, proudly presented by Your local club a huge success.

The threat of further wild weather blew over as the day progressed, not quite as quickly, though, as Jensen Lee when he tore up the sand to close out a big win to open proceedings for North Bondi SLSC in the All Age Beach Relay.

A big result for Long Reef SLSC down the beach sometime later, where Dominic De La Torre topped a terrific podium of caps – that of Liam Tague from Narooma SLSC and Jackson Eagles from Avoca Beach SLSC – in the U13 Male Sprint.

Sadie Upton bagged another Stockton beach medal in the U12 Female Sprint, and Coogee SLSC’s Nicholas Giannikouris, Eadie Maguire, Talin Opai, and Amelie Thompson teamed up for victory in the U14 Mixed Relay.

In the water, competition split in two with U14s moving north to Collaroy and U12s making the most of still conditions at Shelly Beach – competition prime for the pure skills of the sport, being stamina and strength.

The 12s was dominated by two names – Liam Blair from Swansea Belmont SLSC and Millie Gaudry from Manly LSC.

Liam won all four water events he contested, including teaming with Patrick Blair and Bodhi Cousins to win the Board Relay.

Millie, meanwhile, was the winner of the Female Iron and Board, and the Board Relay alongside Summer Easton and Alice Woolnough. She had to settle for bronze in the Swim, with Scarlett Mison from Cudgen Headland SLSC proving too good.

Over at Collaroy, Avoca Beach SLSC’s Ashton Bone won the U14 Male Surf Race, Iron and Board Relay with teammates Billy McCarthy and Samuel Wetti, and then Kye Goldie from The Lakes SLSC made it a Male clean sweep for the Central Coast with a win in the Board Race.

Kathryn Jordan was untouchable in the Female category, winning everything in front of her and helping Lucinda Gladstone and Lillian Wenmohs to victory in the Board Relay as well.

The final day of the NSW Age Surf Life Saving Championships will see our U13s hit the water for the first time at Collaroy and a host of Beach Flags finals at Queenscliff.
