It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Surf Life Saving NSW and Surf Life Saving Australia Life Member Kevin Morrison from Nambucca Heads SLSC

Kevin gained his Bronze Medallion in 1949 and received Life Membership of his club in 1968, the North Coast Branch in 1974 and SLSNSW in 1977.

Kevin served many years in various roles at his club and branch, including Club Captain, Treasurer and President. He was North Coast Branch President for 10 years from 1966-76 and served on numerous committees at Branch and State level.

SLSNSW Director of Member Services Kerry Clancy said that Kevin had a great passion for surf sports which lead him to become a great Official and leader.

"Kevin was involved with Nambucca Heads SLSC during its earliest days and was integral to its development and position in the community today," she said. "He dedicated a great amount of time to his club and supporting the Surf Life Saving North Coast as well as State and National committees. He kept to himself in his later years, but will always be remembered for all that he gave to the members and athletes within our movement, especially here on the North Coast."

On behalf of the Board and staff of Surf Life Saving NSW, our condolences are extended to Kevin’s family and friends, including daughter Jayne Morrison who is the Director of Lifesaving, North Coast Branch.

At Kevin’s request, no funeral arrangements will be made.
