January 2019 Update
From 1 January 2019, families can claim a new $100 Active Kids voucher for each eligible school-enrolled child.
To ensure another successful year, we'd like to advise you of some important program information.
Active Kids 2018 Voucher Redemption
- You can transact and redeem this year's vouchers up until 31 December 2018. After this date the 2018 vouchers expire and cannot be reimbursed. If any of your clubs are holding onto vouchers, they will need to manually enter them into their SNSW account for payment.
- Payments for vouchers submitted over the Christmas/New Year period will be made in mid-January 2019. You can monitor this in the Payment Reconciliation tab in your SNSW account.
Active Kids 2019 - Things You Need To Know
Your Active Kids provider registration continues into the new year; you do not need to re-register for the program. However, to ensure your account remains active, it is important that you review the following items in your account:
- Manage the delegates who login and access your Active Kids account. You can add or remove delegates on the Delegation tab.
- Manage your programs. To ensure you are visible on the search page and are able to redeem your vouchers, check that your programs are up to date. This can be managed in the Programs tab.
Marketing Support
Easily identify your organisation as an Active Kids approved provider.
A range of marketing materials can be downloaded from dropbox, including an Approved Provider logo, to let families know they can use their voucher with you.
Active Kids Program Information
From January 2018, the NSW Government will provide $100 through a voucher system for parents/guardians/carers to contribute to the cost of their children’s participation in sport and active recreation. The voucher can be redeemed towards payment of membership or fees with an approved provider registered with the Active Kids program, each calendar year.
All Surf Life Saving Clubs have been registered as Active Kids Providers. This step was completed by SLSNSW in early 2018 to reduce the administration requirement on clubs.
Clubs need to activate their account to enable vouchers to be redeemed

Every child (4.5 - 18 years’ old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible. This includes those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW.
The program is not means tested. One voucher will be available for every child in the family annually over the next four years (2018-2021).
