Member Education & Training

Making sure that our lifesavers have the skills, knowledge and confidence to save lives 24/7 is an important part of what we do.

Our member education and training is delivered by volunteer trainers and assessors in Clubs and Branches along the NSW coastline. If you are a member of Surf Life Saving NSW and want to find out more about courses that are running in your area, please contact your Club or Branch for more information.

For any questions or support please contact the Education Team at SLSNSW on 02 9471 8000 or if you are an existing Trainer or Assessor, start by checking out our 'Frequently asked question section'.

Academy Volunteer Handbook (Education SOPs)

Our Education Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) include the policies and guidelines that apply to member training in New South Wales. They apply to all staff and volunteers involved in the delivery and assessment of Member Education.
