#SHARKBITEKITS // A huge announcement today on Sydney's Northern Beaches, as SLSNSW committed to installing publicly accessible Shark Bite Trauma Kits at each of the 129 clubs across the state's coastline.
The trauma kits will be affixed to the external wall of each NSW surf club where, in the event of a reported shark incident, and in the absence of a lifesaver or lifeguard on duty, members of the public will be able to apply emergency first aid until first responders arrive on scene.

#FLAGSDOWN // That’s a wrap on season 25/26!
Seven months after the flags first rose, our volunteer surf lifesavers have lowered them today for the last time this season.
129 beaches, 85,000+ members, one goal - we’re so proud of each and every one of our members for the role they play in keeping our coastal communities safe.
It doesn’t stop here though, there’s plenty of training and upskilling opportunities over the cooler months!
See you all again in September.

#LESTWEFORGET// An unforgettable experience for surfboat and still-water crews from Rowing NSW taking part in the Anzac Eve Sunset Tribute on Sydney Harbour last night. The 'oars up' boat commemoration not only honoured those who lost their lives in conflicts, it was an acknowledgement of the deep connection our Surf Life Saving and rowing clubs have always had with those who served. Crews from Manly LSC, Bondi Surf Club, Bronte Surf Life Saving Club, South Maroubra SLSC, FairyMeadow SLSC and Warriewood SLSC surf clubs proudly represented.

#18TO25 // We were so excited to welcome 18 members representing 10 of the NSW Branches to Sydney this weekend for our second 18-25 Program in just a few months - and what a blast we had!
The whole point of this Program is hands-on learning - not just about leadership, but finding meaning in your lifesaving journey and fostering self development with awesome active sessions and group bonding.
It was also really cool to welcome a bunch of past NSW Lifesavers of the Year - including our most recent, Michael Russo, Rosie Taliano (2015), Lara Boyle (2017), and Doug Lucas (2004 and 2005).
Here's a peak behind the curtain of everything the group got up to in the harbour city!
