The first of many State surf sport carnivals for NSW’s youngest competitors has kicked off on Sydney’s Northern beaches, with many laying solid foundations for future success across an exciting day in the surf and on the sand.

The 2024 NSW Age Surf Life Saving Championships, proudly presented by Your local club will kick off on the Northern beaches from Thursday 7 March, with thousands of the state’s best young lifesavers preparing to battle it out in the surf and on the sand over the coming four days.

The state’s best and brightest surf sport athletes are about to face their toughest test to date since the establishment of the Surf Life Saving NSW Surf Sport Academies late last year.

NSW Surf Boat Team Manager, Greg Heard believes that a Championships victory is just around the corner after a heartbreaking result at the 2024 Surf Boat Interstate Championships saw NSW settle for silver behind fellow powerhouse, Queensland, after no less than five countbacks.
