Finalists Named for 2026 NSW Junior Lifesaver of the Year

Twenty-two of the state’s most passionate lifesavers of the future will pack their bags and travel to Sydney’s Northern Beaches in April for the 2026 NSW Junior Lifesaver of the Year (JLOTY) camp – three days of networking, activities, and idea sharing among likeminded volunteers. 

Red & Yellow Day Lights Up for Volunteer Lifesavers

The City of Sydney and across NSW was a sea of colour yesterday as the inaugural Red & Yellow Day – a national day that provides an opportunity to recognise the vital work of volunteer lifesavers along our coastline – was celebrated on 4 March. 

Two NSW Volunteers Awarded SLSA Life Membership

Surf Life Saving NSW Life Members – Queenscliff SLSC’s Barry Antella OAM and Bondi SBLSC’s Peter Burst have had many decades of distinguished and conspicuous service recognised by Surf Life Saving Australia with Life Membership of the national organisation. 

Youth Development Program Returns Bigger and Better

Surf Life Saving NSW’s 18-25 Program returned for the first time in more than a decade on November 28-30, with 19 participants from 10 Branches and even a member from across the Bass Strait networking with likeminded volunteers and enhancing their leadership skills.
