Involvement in Surf Sports at any level – be it a competitor, coach or official – requires sincere and often unrivalled commitment to stand out in the field.
For Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators, it’s about getting the right people on the beach. Plain and simple. These roles are critical to the development, progression and, ultimately, achievement of our goals as members of Surf Life Saving.
Surf Life Saving NSW doesn’t exist in its current form without its members – the hard-working, dedicated faces behind the rescues, first aids and community engagement we deliver along the coastline.
A consistent theme across clubs and branches in lifesaving is a focus on growth, pathways and opportunities for our future leaders. Our youth act as a key pillar in maintaining and strengthening our role in the community into the future.
Surf Life Saving NSW is saddened to advise of the passing of Collaroy SLSC, Sydney Northern Beaches Branch and SLSNSW Life Member, Robert Langbein OAM. He was 95.
Umina Surf Life Saving Club’s Director of Lifesaving, Mollie Murphy has been recognised by the Rotary Districts of NSW at their annual Rotary Emergency Service Community Awards (RESCA), taking out the Surf Life Saving NSW category.
