The NSW school holidays are in full swing and families are flocking to the coast. Surf lifesavers are urging beachgoers to be aware of their environment and check conditions before heading to the beach.​


Man Drowns At Greenhills Beach

Despite an intense resuscitation effort and the prompt arrival of emergency responders, a man couldn’t be revived after being pulled unconscious from the water at Greenhills Beach in Southern Sydney on Wednesday. 


Emergency Rescue Beacon Activated

In late 2017 Greenhills Beach in the Sutherland Shire became one of a handful of beaches in NSW to host an Emergency Rescue Beacon (ERB). That decision has proved to be a fruitful one as an incident on the opening weekend of the patrol season highlighted.


Swimmer Drowns At Stanwell Beach

Despite the best efforts of a group of surfers, surf lifesavers, and emergency services a 24-year-old man has drowned after getting into difficulty while swimming at Stanwell Beach on Monday.
