Surf Clubs Throw Open Doors

On Sunday 16 October 89 surf clubs from across NSW will throw open their doors to the public to give an insight into the vital role that the modern day surf lifesaver plays within their community.

Profile of the Month: William Vaughan-Smith

Our Profile of the Month for September is William Vaughan-Smith from Bermagui SLSC. The 20-year-old joined Surf Life Saving three seasons ago for the chance to socialise with his peers. It proved to be a fruitful decision as he has become heavily involved with the movement, which culminated in being awarded the title of Far South Coast Lifesaver of the Year for 2016.

Profile of the Month: Trish Watts

Our Profile of the Month for October is Trish Watts from Shelly Beach SLSC. The hard working Director of Administration and U7 Age Manager has been involved in Surf Life Saving since 1991. Trish has a passion for member and youth retention and is motivated to make Shelly Beach the best surf club it can be.

Young Lifesavers Learn To Lead

Two dozen keen young surf lifesavers gathered in Sydney last week for an exciting and innovative program that improves their leadership skills and helped connect them with likeminded peers from around the state.

Profile of the Month: Donald Allan

Our Profile of the Month for November is Donald Allan from Towradgi SLSC. During his four decades in Surf Life Saving Don has played an influential role in teaching his fellow lifesavers skills as the Trainer and Assessor of his club, served at branch level, been heavily involved in all aspects of lifesaving, and was honoured with NSW Life Membership in 2010.
