The Oakberry Acai NSW Surf Life Saving Country Championships is open to clubs outside the Newcastle-to-Illawarra corridor and is second only to the NSW Surf Life Saving Championships in size, with an expected 1,500 competitors, 200 officials and around 4,000 spectators.

The Head Above Water 24 hour swimathon is on again, raising funds and supporting the great work of Gotcha4Life in building mental resilience within the community and our surf clubs. The “Dean Mercer Dash” is back for another year. It is an endurance board paddle event in honour of Thirroul SLSC Life Member Dean Mercer OAM and is open to competitors U14 and up. Entries via sems close Wednesday 25 October.

Surf Life Saving NSW are delighted to announce the 2023 NSW Interbranch Championships will be hosted by Hunter Branch at Fingal Beach SLSC. The Championships will be held on 2 – 3 December, 2023.
Showcasing athletes from the 6 country branches across NSW, the 2024 Oakberry Acai NSW Country Championships will be held at Warilla Barrack Point SLSC on the 26-28 January 2024.
