With COVID-19 travel restrictions preventing holidaymakers from travelling interstate or overseas, the number of people on some NSW beaches these school holidays has been similar to those normally seen at Christmas and New Year. Surf lifesavers are now worried about the possibility of increased coastal drownings this coming long weekend.

World’s Largest CPR Class A Success
Surf Life Saving NSW was proud to partner with the former yellow Wiggle Greg Page and Nextdoor in a world record attempt for the most people trained in CPR at one time. The free virtual event beamed live from the Castle Hill RSL on 19 September was estimated to have reached around 25,000 people on the night, and an additional 5000 post the event.
