Trailblazers March to Celebrate Women in Surf Life Saving

On International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March, some of Surf Life Saving’s pioneering women formed a ‘Colour Party’ and led the official March Past at the NSW Surf Life Saving Championships at Swansea Belmont SLSC. They marched to recognise the contribution women have made to the Surf Life Saving movement throughout its 113-year history.​


Col Laing – The Bionic Man

Despite receiving a call from the President of Surf Life Saving Australia to say he had been bestowed one of the highest volunteer honours in the organisation, Life Membership, Col Laing was up early and on the beach today to compete in the 2020 NSW Masters Championships at Swansea Belmont SLSC.


North Curl Curl Dominates to Take Gold

In a day of perfect race conditions at Blacksmiths Beach, North Curl Curl took out the 2020 NSW Age Surf Life Saving Championships, by a comfortable margin of 70 points over second-placed Coogee.


Lifesavers with Pride Push the Float Out

It has been a huge month for Lifesavers with Pride (LWP). The group has just been announced as the “Principal Float” in Saturday’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and this week it was announced that LWP helped to forge a new partnership between Surf Life Saving Australia and ACON Health’s Pride in Sport Program.
